SonaGraph × GoDaddy India
Biggeraudiencesweren'ttheanswer. Betteroneswere.
How audience intelligence replaced broad demographic targeting with clusters built from real search, intent and behavioural signals.
The challenge
Digital branding was reaching plenty of people. It wasn't reaching enough of the right ones.
Small business owners and first-time entrepreneurs don't behave like a demographic. They behave like a moment — someone deciding to start something. Standard age-and-interest targeting couldn't see that moment, so branding budget spread thin across audiences that were never going to convert.
What we did
- 1
Signal collection
SonaGraph ingested search behaviour, category consumption and platform-level intent signals rather than declared demographics.
- 2
Cluster modelling
Audiences were grouped by what they were trying to do — register a domain, build a first website, move a business online.
- 3
Cluster prioritisation
Each cluster was scored on business potential, not media efficiency, so spend followed value.
- 4
Activation
Creative and distribution were mapped cluster by cluster, then continuously re-weighted as response came in.
The audience wasn't missing. It was hidden inside averages.

The outcome
Branding stopped competing for attention and started meeting intent.
What marketers can learn
When audiences are defined by intent rather than demographics, the same branding budget reaches fewer people — and grows the business more.
